Teotihuacan: Awakening The Giant
with the Ruiz Family

When Miguel was a young boy, his grandfather told him many stories of the Toltec Tradition. A powerful one was the Story of The Sleeping Giant, a symbol for an unaware humanity.
One day this giant will awaken in Mexico, and awareness will spread throughout the world. Humanity will return to its full potential.
As any child who hears stories in the early years, Miguel forgot and years went by before this story surfaced again. On his honeymoon, Miguel and his bride sat on top of the Pyramid of the Sun, over looking the sacred grounds of Teotihuacan. Then, Miguel saw the giant clearly laid out as a snake with two heads, and he realized that this site was a 2500 year old map for enlightenment. The path begins in one of the heads, out through the second head and finally onto the Pyramid of the Sun.
The name Teotihuacan means 'The place where humans awake and become God'.
This Journey of Enlightenment in Teotihuacan, awakening the snake within each of his apprentices, has been Miguel’s body of work since that day in 1987.
Now the time has come for humanity as a whole to awaken to its full awareness, it's time to fully awaken the giant.
December 21st, 2012 is the end of the Mayan calendar. Mythology says this is the end of the world. Truth is that this day is like any New Years Eve, it will come and it will go and nothing will happen...
... unless we make it happen.
Miguel's invitations is for us all to agree that this indeed is the end of the world... as we know it.
'Let's utilize this unique moment in time. Let's all agree that this is the end of an era living in fear and fanaticism, and instead the beginning of a new era living in truth... and then let's act on this new agreement... the world will change with this new awakened humanity.
Please help join me in this change, by changing your own world.'

Useful Information:
About This Journey -
The trip is an event where don Miguel, don Jose and don Miguel Jr speak, give exercises, assign homework (the fun, short and reflective type).
Typically there is a high level of direct interaction between the family and the participants. It is much more involved than a class, lecture or a workshop and provides you with an extensive level of emersion into the teachings being offered.
The basic itinerary for each day is usually around a two hour talk in the morning, then spending the day in the pyramids doing inner work and learning and healing experiences with the Ruiz familiy and his team, and another two hour talk in the evening.
However, they teach through inspiration so this is always subject to change. If you notice, we never publish a detailed program schedule for any event. The reason is that our trip leaders teach from Spirit as it guides them, and that is always changing! Depending on the group energy, the program may shift in any direction.
Please trust that magic will happen at every event and put your "voice of knowledge" and "need to know" at rest. Be assured that we have a wonderful journey planned for you!
Arriving/Departing to Mexico City
Our journey together begins in Mexico City, Mexico. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the Benito Juarez Mexico City airport. Once you arrive and pass through immigration and customs, we take care of getting you where you need to be!
From USA- Many airlines have direct flights from Los Angeles, Houston and New York to Mexico City including AeroMexico, Alaska, Volaris, Horizon, Aerolitoral, and United. More options are available if connecting through another U.S. city.
From Europe- Most commercial airlines link Mexico directly to Europe. It is always worth it to compare flight offers from aircarriers who can bring you to Mexico City or Cancun via many european hubs, like Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Madrid.....the flight duration from those cities is always approx. 11 hours (+ your connecting flight from home, if you do not board directly at the mentioned airports)
From Australia or New Zealand- Fly from either Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne or Auckland(NZ) direct to Los Angeles. Delta, Qantas, United, and V Australia offer non-stop air service from Australia to Los Angeles. Air New Zealand offers one-stop air service from Australia and non-stop air service from Auckland to Los Angleles. Hawaiian Airlines and Air Tahiti Nui offer one- or two-stop air service to Los Angeles from Australia and New Zealand.
Arriving to Teotihuacan
If you are not taking the group transport, you can make your way to Teotihucan by taxi or bus.
By taxi-
You can arrive to Teotihuacan by taxi. It takes about 45 minutes from Mexico City if you use the toll highway. A taxi is about $70 USD. If you are flying in, make sure to prepay for the taxi in one of the kiosks at the bagagge claim area.
By bus-
During daylight hours, Autobuses México-San Juan Teotihuacán runs buses from Mexico City’s Terminal Norte to the ruins (MX$28, one hour) every 15 minutes from 7am to 6pm. When entering the Terminal Norte, turn left and walk to the second-last desk on the concourse. Make sure your bus is headed for ‘Los Pirámides, ’ not the nearby town of San Juan Teotihuacán.
Buses arrive and depart from near Gate 1, also making stops at Gates 2 and 3. Return buses are more frequent after 1pm. The last bus back to Mexico City leaves at 6pm; some terminate at Indios Verdes metro station, but most continue to Terminal Norte.
Money
It is a good idea to have money changed from dollars to pesos. There are several good exchange kiosks in the airport outside customs or you can withdraw pesos from the ATM.
You need about $30.00 US per day for food plus extra money for things you might like to bargain for and buy.
The exchange rate is 1USD=12.5 pesos
