The Academy of Awareness is a new dream based on respect, love and truth. It is a community of people that will learn to have and show total respect for themselves, total respect to their teacher and ultimately total respect to everyone else.
The Academy of Awareness includes live content, monthly video classes, live video classes, articles, share walls, notifications of members-only events and discounts on other events. The Academy will be a way for don Miguel Ruiz to share with you his knowledge and wisdom that will no doubt inspire and challenge you on your journey.
In order to offset our costs for providing and maintaining this ever-expanding Academy, we request a small fee which can be met using the following payment approaches:

Subscription Benefits
There are three ways you can subscribe. You can subscribe monthly for $9.95 Per Month, or you can purchase a 6 month subscription for $53.70 (average cost $8.95 Per Month), or you can purchase a subscription for 1 year for $95.40 (average cost $7.95 Per Month)
I did not subscribe on the first of the month, but I have been charged for a full month. Am I losing anything by signing up later in the month?
No, you are not losing anything. Your subscription cycle starts the day you sign up and your payments will occur around the day of the month in which you are next charged, whether that be 1 month, 6 months, or 12 months out.
A new video lesson posted in each section of Ruiz TV, access to the share boards, a new exercise lesson posted in the Work Sheets area, access to your personal Journal, access to archived and upcoming live classes.
If you are paying the monthly, there can be no refund. Members who paid the biannual or annual rate can request a refund for full, unused months by emailing academy@miguelruiz.com. 6-month increments of used time will be calculated at the bi-annual rate and other used time will be calculated at a monthly rate. The resulting refund will be processed against the credit card used for payment. (i.e. If you used 7.5 months of an annual membership, you will be billed the bi-annual amount, plus 2 times the monthly mount, and refunded any different between the result and what you paid for the annual membership.)
Yes, but you can only log in from one computer at a time.
We sincerely ask that you do not share your user ID and password with anyone else. Your ID is for your personal access and use, when enrolling you agreed to the terms and conditions that restricted you from sharing it with others. It is not only a matter of integrity and being impeccable, but to do so would jeopardize our ability to sustain The Academy of Awareness at an affordable rate. Furthermore, only one user ID member will be able to access The Academy of Awareness at a time.
Technical Questions
Ruiz TV is strictly an Internet-based subscription service, as opposed to a television network available with your cable television service. Ruiz TV can only be watched via a computer. If you would like to watch on your television screen, there are a variety of hardware options for connecting your home computer to your television.

No email confirmation is required. At the time of registration, you chose a username and password. Once payment is confirmed, you can login to the Academy using your chosen username and password. That confirmation process typically takes no longer than 10 minutes, but may take up to 24 hours, depending upon how your credit card company handles the payment request.
If you have any difficulty accessing the community once you have registered, try resetting your password using the "Lost Password?" option under the login fields. If you still have trouble accessing the community, please feel free to email us at academy@miguelruiz.com and someone on our team will check your status and assist you.
We recommend a basic broadband connection. This will include DSL or Cable modem service with a minimum of 600Kbit download speed. Any Internet connection can be used but it take time to download and view the Ruiz TV video lessons.
A basic computer configuration capable of watching YouTube videos will suffice.
You may consider upgrading your Internet service
Choppy and/or freezing video images typically result from slower download speeds. To test your download speed, please visit http://speedtest.primus.ca. If your speed is less than 500 kps [kilobits per second], you may need to upgrade your Internet service for something faster.

We have found that audio problems most commonly occur due to the following reasons:
1. Your computers volume has been muted or turned too low, or your speakers are connected incorrectly. Please verify that this is not the case and try listening to content again.
2. Your Flash Player may be outdated. To make sure you are using the latest available version, please visit: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Yes. Your credit card details are stored on our bank’s secure server, and we do not have access to your information. Your browser may indicate that the page is secure by showing a blue shade in your Address bar. Additionally, the URL will read as https:// instead of the regular http:// to indicate security.

Account Questions
We are required to use various fraud detection security systems to verify that the card is being used by an authorized user. Some of these methods include Address Verification Systems (AVS), Card Code Value (CCV) and other hidden Fraud Alert Systems.
There are many reasons that your credit card may be rejected.
The Credit Card Payment gateway will reject a card if:
1. You typed in the wrong Credit Card # or expiration date.
2. Billing address used is different from the Billing address on the credit card.
3. AVS is not supported by your card issuing bank.
4. Address information for cardholder is unavailable or not on file.
5. Lack of funds available on your account.
6. Gift Cards will be rejected since they have no AVS security features.
7. Your IP address is hidden, blocked or on a fraud alert list.
You created your own password when you registered. If you do not recall what password you used, please use the "Lost Password?" link under the login fields to reset your password.
You may reset your password by using the "Lost Password?" feature on the Login page.
We are so sorry to hear that you will be canceling your Academy of Awareness membership and want you to know that we deeply appreciate the gift of your presence for whatever time you chose to join us.
To cancel your membership, simply log in to the Academy of Awareness. Click Here to go there now.
Click on My Account under the Community Links sidebar drop down menu. Click on: (Click here to update your billing profile or cancel your membership.) at the top of the My Account page. Please note: You will have to log back in for security reasons.
This link will now take you to the My Billing page. At the bottom of the My Billing page type in the word CANCEL in the appropriate field and your reason for canceling.
Yes you can purchase previous weeks lessons. Downloads of previous weeks are available in the store. The cost is $1.99 for audio and $2.95 - $4.95 for video.

Any current member of The Academy of Awareness may submit questions for don Miguel in written form and submit them to Please submit your question, first and last name, and email address where you can be contacted. Don Miguel may or may not select your question to be answered on one of his shows. If your question is selected you will be notified by email when the show will air.
Absolutely not. The Academy of Awareness is available through the medium of the Internet, thus broadcasts are not limited to any time zone or location. Persons may access at any time during the subscription period, once registered as a member.
Absolutely not. Any age can participate in the Academy of Awareness.
There is no obligation whatsoever with the Academy. You will be as involved as you choose to be, it is completely up to you. However you participate, whatever you do, when and how you do it, is your choice. Just do your best.

You do not have to attend any events to belong to the Academy. Though we would highly recommend attending an event to bolster your own personal growth in this work
The only members of the Academy are those that have been personally invited by don Miguel Ruiz, one his sons or team, or have requested an invitation and have been approved by don Miguels staff.
Anyone who has been invited and now is a member of the Academy of Awareness can invite others to join.
Yes you can be removed from the Academy of Awareness. Different reasons could arise that would result in you being removed from the academy, some of which include inappropriate online posts or showing a general lack of respect for our brother and sisters.
