LéaLA the Los Angeles Spanish-language Book Fair 2015

May 15, 2015 - May 17, 2015

Free to the Public

In LéaLA you will find book presentations and book signings; conferences and talks on culture and the historical roots of the Latin American countries; sessions with Latino writers and authors from other regions; discussion forums on issues relating to the sales and distribution of books in Spanish; and the participation of celebrities from the Latino community in activities from the fair’s literary and cultural program.

This fair has an Education Pavilion focused on promoting upper secondary and higher education; the Cri-Cri Children’s Hall, a dedicated area for children where a series of workshops are performed and organized by Letras para Volar, an educational project of the University of Guadalajara, which has the support of the University of Fielding, with the aim of promoting reading, the use of Spanish-language and the Latino traditions among children; and, in conjunction with Editorial Universitaria (University of Guadalajara Publishing House), the Independent Publishers Pavilion, a space dedicated to promote and support independent publishing houses so that they can approach the publishing market in the United States of America.
